PART 1
WORLD AS IN THE LENS OF A YOUNG TRAVELLER

Say ; Wonder of the World

I have been real keen to discover the exotical uniqueness of out-countries since in childhood .So now half of it has come to my realisation and I succeeded myself in pioneering fruitful steps into The Land of Knowledge & Prophet .Somehow I never listed Egypt as my major choice of abroading but Allah’s fate is greater than our plan itself as the saying goes – Man Proposes God Disposes .So far I am grateful to be placed here as I acquired loads of new stuffs and learn to adapt with varying characters of the communities especially Egyptians .

Say ; Let your friends cherish you when you are all alone

Say ; Snapping picture with friends who are going to Jordan

Namely Egypt is known by several names such as Ardul Kinanah and Ardul Anbia’ .Famous for it power to realise whatever you said regardless it is good nor bad .Thus watching out your spoken word is quite vital .Egyptian may be significantly rough and less-systemised communities but unbelievably they had marked as civilised years ahead than us and yes I am now in one of the earliest civilsation in the world – Ancient Egypt .

Say ; Scenic view from apartment’s balcony

You will enjoy the triumph of being less dependent if you were to be out of any guardian .So far I am enthusiasted to explore my tertiary life with full excitement in the iar as this country provides me sort of coll thrilling atmosphere which I am eager to discover in abstruse the sweetiness in living your life independently .Letting your experiences and positive thoughts to mature you in the world out of your own .

Say ; With one of rented camel – it used to bite outsider

Say ; As our journey begins here

Say ; Sphinx’s head is finally in our hand

Say ; Finally they are in my grasp

At my very first sight this place would be a nightmare for these coming six years to go but as I give myself some times to ponder ,I make up my mind to love this place and I make it for I perceived not everybody stand the chanceto go here as me .I am not a perfectionist but gradually I try to nurture the sense of interest by enjoying unique blend of characteristics of people .That is what admired me most of all and magnetise my love to this country – with preservation of my loyalty to Motherland .

PART 2
JOURNEY TO THE GREAT CIVILISATION OF ISLAM

It was mesmerising to see world historical spots standing infront of our bare eyes .Fortunately I stood this very chance here and able to impart something pricelss with people when going back to my country after six years .

Say ; Sultan Salahuddin Al Ayubi Mosque

Say ; This is what they have been proud of

The mosque is one of the pride and strength foundation found in Sultan Salhuddin Al Ayubi Citadel or Kol’ah Sultan Salahuddin Al Ayubi .It is located next to Muqattam Hill/Jabal Muqattam and a stone’s throw to Medan Saiyidatina Aishah .

Say ; From left ; fifi ,syafiq ,esan ,bo ,akmal

Say ; Leaning on a tamar tree

Now that I am glad to be here vanishing my early perceptions when first been here .I learn to treasure the greatness of Islamic warriors that finally mark the civilisation of Islam until todate that commenced from here until todate .Yesteryears ,Islam has long been a superior power but due to fragile unity and tough chauvinism of the communities ,it finally lead us to supreme separation currently .Egyptian respect most students from Malaysia as we are appreciated for willing to leave our country and bear to live their conventional life which is far thougher than those raining wealth showered in our country .They possessed one remarkable quality for they are not laughing at people’s mistake as Malaysians do but rectifying the amiss would be their very priority as they love educating .

PART 3
Against All Odds

Alhamdulillah ,I have been here for 2 months in approximate .I learn to accomodate and accustom to this newly country and this is the rightest time for me to express my thoughts as words speak better .The greatest thing I would like to impart is mostly regarding the culture .I learn the language and have never thought to be speaking tri-langually here ; malay ,english n arabic .It’s fun and a triumph you know to be understood especially when you speak brokenly and local people no nod their head which signs their understanding because they speak brokenly to .I admire those Egyptians as they are not laughing at people’s mistakes for they love to teach amiss .Sometimes you may find it annoying but the truth is they are simply amiable . Malaysians are very fondly known here for our politeness .They quoted us as Ahsan Min Annas ; sebaik – baik manusia .huhu .Malaysian should be proud .

say ; they are simply amiable to Malaysian !

Throughout my days here ,I have visited many places and my upcoming Alexandria – there widen my vision ,sight and thought .There are countless advantages being here rather than European Countries as here I got the chance to learn in a very most decent and abstemious studying ambience and hope to be more competent than those graduates in Europe when coming back to Malaysia after my 6 tough years .You would have to run for a bus and if you got taxi that wouldn’t surely be yours .Traffic jammed and honks are everywhere .Sometimes you will be cheated even after all the sweet words thrown .One of important lesson here is learn to refrain from throwing bad words to Egyptian .You would have to embrace the aftermath and consequences – it’s only the matter of time .Haha .

say ; hecticness and clumsiness of the traffic

Mesir comprises of 3 arabic alphabets – م ص ر – which stands for musibah ,sabar ,redha .I have to reckon by it as living in Egypt needs you to be extra patient especially when dealing with some of Egyptians .They rarely obeyed traffic light though police are watching the traffic and there’s one quote interests me – ‘obeying traffic light to show your civilisation’ . Haha . Even that can’t alter their attitude as proudly ,they pioneereed the earliest civilisation in the world but they have no idea of how preserving it well than being in a safe side by ignoring certain aspects that people may no reluctant to question back whether they are civilised or vice versa .

say ; a crash in our district between taxi and car

You would also find it much annoying if you walk by the shopping complex and some of them would laugh at you by us no notice of what is actually bringing to their laughter .They belittle Malaysian only if you were to be walking among elite Egyptians .Sometimes there are groups of kids who love to tease Malaysian as they thought we are aboriginal people .That is true for only some places in Egypt only – I have ever being thrown a stone by kids .Anyways ,I have to abide by the consequences of the choice i just made .’Every Clouds Has A Silver Lining’!

PART 4
In a Most Decent and Abstemious

You would not have the chance to see a university that deserved to be seen like a UNIVERSITY as their financial thing converged to military(norm for a republic country) not for education – you know what I mean ? Though ,lecturers write their own books and conventionally this is practised in all universities in Egypt .Lecturers are expressive too as they will teach with perfect gestures and voice’s tone until you actually got the picture . This is the purest knowledge of all and one of our senior doctor ever quote – even European students used lecture notes they got from Egypt. We are sometimes taught more than enough and Ain Shams University is anciently known to be the hardest university in Egypt .I mean the fact we learn is more specified .They are teaching us to not be studying just for the sake of assessment .Nevertheless ,there are several seniors of mine from shams marked the top rank and there’s one who got the very first rank here among Egyptian and Malaysian in the university . Haha ! Shamsian should be proud of them .We are cream of the cream .There are too many scholars that its a norm for me to see a doctor – someone with doctorate – driving a taxi to sustain his living .They are paid lower than those in Malaysia .Therefore it’s rare to see clinic – only pharmacies are here and you will find them in abundance just like groceries shops .Besides musibah ,sabar ,redha ,another famous definition of م ص ر is sedekah ,raudhah – i forgot the first word .yes .There are loads of beggars who don’t have money for sustaining living and at least i learn to be generous here .

say ; religious lectures are conducted here in Masjid Husin

Raudhah means lectures are everywhere because of the existence of too many scholars .Even religious lectures can be joined in most mosque .It is only the matter of your will to join or not .I am no good at it but I will surely try my best !

PART 5
IT’S NOT THE SAME OLD FEEL LIKE BEFORE

I felt sort of emptiness this eid as it is not well-celebrated as a major festive here rather than eid adha .But it is still a great enthusiasm i had to celebrate this eid with friends kind of different ambience to treasure in a lifetime for this may be my only time celebrating eid here as for upcoming years i’ll be back Malaysia .Sometimes you will be more fond to your country and family when you are all alone .Though ,Egypt is the only country with a total of 10,000 Malay communities hence Malaysian eid’s atmosphere still being preserved .We are also grateful to meet our new friends here as well as long no see friends .

say ; biggest Malaysian community in out-country

say ; with one of medical student from SHAMS who is under JPA

We still got rendang ,nasi himpit ,lodeh ,kuah kacang ,cornflakes and dendang perantau too here ! Few days before it ,there are also some seniors who bake cake and cookies to bring back the atmosphere well .At least ,all those sorrow ,grief and sombre can yet be overcome .So far i have no homesick but I know my father and mom should be missing me much . Hehe .Don’t worry I am doing greatly fine here .La tahzan .Innallahamaa’na .This year my family will be sort of ‘mourning’ I bet as my mom has earlier planned to not be holding her open house as usual .My siblings would be absolute remorsed .Mom ,you should be doing one this year .

say ; while listening to Setitis Cahaya di Aidilfitri .sob3

I have already flipped over my family’s photos .It really reminds me of sweet pleasure of eid in Malaysia .We are separated by two great continents but yet still strong heart- reminscing I felt .Even the night before raya ,best thing to do is sleeping the whole night as it is known as our very indulgence of Malaysian in Egypt -with no preparation clumsiness in the air .The joy only exists in Malaysia .Egyptian rarely welcoming Syawal as they do in eid adha .You would have to see the clear contrast difference yourself and you will be flabbergasted .They prayed half an hour after subuh/fajr and went back home to do chores as those days .No new clothes .Nothing different and nothing interesting .Yet having to wait for Tremco to Rumah Negeri for half an hour before sleeping of tireness the whole day – even in eid . Haha .I am the only one who still wore my full suit of baju melayu and samping that day .

say ; my way of smiling explains our boreness

say ; again having nothing else better to do than snapping

say ; bilo orang negeri berkumpol

The night ,we got a special open house organised collectively by 8th floor – the biggest and widest apartment/shaah in rumah negeri sembilan – with no pile haha ! Can you imagine how simple it is for Egyptian to build an apartment .It is rather life-riskening living here in 8th floor if a minor earth-quake happened .But you would feel like being in a hotel if you were to be here – it’s only the furnishing .Maybe that is the only added value to interest people staying here .It’s pretty fun you know to have the local communities sitting and chit-chatting together .The house’s guardian greet you in and it doesn’t differ much than in Malaysia .The culture is still there .The only difference is they held a brief tahlil and prayer before feast .Anyways wait for my floor’s open house .We will be holding it this Friday and I have been appointed to make the promo sheet . Ahah .

say ; with the house’s guardian ,Che Lat and Awang

say ; with one of sporting senior here ,Ajai

say ; are they in real starviness – we only got our dinner here

Tomorrow we will be having another open house hold by our beloved Ayah Zin .It can be equated collectively as our open house as other rumah negeri will be participating too together with private students , JPA and MARA too .We are living like a family here regardless social background as only rumah negeri sembilan allows anyone who entitled as anak negeri to come and stay here and enjoy the privileges unlike others .Conclusively ,I am happy celebrating eid here though with little sense of emptiness and boreness .Wait for my presence next year !

PART 6

1 MALAYSIA – NATIONAL AGENDA OR MERELY AN EXAGGERATED PUBLICITY ?

I just made myself to this forum on 1 Malaysia last two days .It was actually a continuation of international conference on Malaysia held in Cairo University-Malaysia in Global Perspective .As a Malaysian who studied abroad ,this raising issue may not spread as wide as in Malaysian as it is just in the air and everybody is talking about this .I have turned eighteen this year and I must be well-alerted of the current issues – haha .Those so-called radicals have taken this chance to twist the initial idea for it to seem non-profitable to the Malays especially .Alternative media such as blogs just make the situation worse and turned the ministry helpless on the other hand as there is no special mitigation to buck the trend .Malaysian known to be critical to some matters regarding multi-racialism conflicts .To my confession ,every one of the panelist failed in elaborating the core subject as they kept voicing racial statement rather than briefing at least one of the cores .

say ; i impressed by certain presentors only – those who
really brought me into the subject’s core

say ; infront of Faculty of Commerce ,Cairo University

I am definitely not a Malaysian who rather sitting on fence but I hate it when academia are making their racial statement .He ever claimed other races as immigrants .It obviously and vividly shows their foolishness .Those panelists are specially invited from Universiti Malaya-Associate Professors and Deans .AND because it is Malaya ,they must have to be real racists . Fortunately one of Chinese presentor in the morning conference was not there for her having another commitment I bet .She’ll be absolutely caught in awkwardness .I still don’t really know my stand on the matter but when I joined this special programme for pre-overseas student held by Tatanegara Bureau in Klang ,he said-never judge a matter by a single side of thought and grasp instead you have to really do lots of research before you can make your own generalisation out of any influence .I reckoned ,I am not very sure of the idea but it doesn’t really threaten the Malays communites I bet .

say ; in tremco with Abg fer – He will be going back Malaysia
next month

The values emphasised are only – perseverance ,acceptance ,education ,integrity ,meritocracy ,humility ,loyalty and culture of excellence .I may not be the right person to talk about this but as a young Malaysian I do have the right to voice out my opinion for Malaysia is a democratic country – right ?haha .It is true for slogan such as Malaysia Malaysian publicised by Datuk Seri Anwar .It does equating rights of these three major races in Malaysia – Malay ,Chinese ,Indian .Every single Prime Minister has their own trademark .say -Pak Lah with his Islam Hadhari ,Najib with his – citizen comes first performance now lah.Post Mahathir’s leadership noticed a strange change in Malaysian .I was in the moment so I just catched up some little silly stuff advanced by him like Menara KLCC .There is no such pride of being Malaysian as in old times when he is leading the administration .He is my idol and I always admire his loudness that makes him the longest-serving Prime Minister in Asia .In fact I do lots of researches on him before being interviewed by the Islamic Department for my current medical scholarship .

say ; waiting for enrolment to the conference

Malaysia is liberalised for certain things like previously opening some space for non-bumi into UiTM-famous for universiti tolong melayu .There are emergence of riots on the issue and I consented that only Malays are allowed into the university as the name itself-MARA-famous for its role to advance Malay’s economic state .It is out of sensibility as those dean’s lists will be monopolied by non-bumi as Malays are naturally less persevered than them .Another issue raised by the panelists is about Malaysia as Islamic country .There’s one statement interests me about the matter that Imam Syafie ever quoted -eventhough Islamic laws are not applied in a country that comprised of Muslims ,it is still considered as an Islamic country still .There is no such thing as sekularism in Malaysia as the supreme law of Malaysia itself stated that Islam is the official religion of the country with tolerance in practising other religions without admoniting them to Malays as Malay is also defined as -Muslim and speak Malay Language as their mother tongue -though modernised Malays speaks English frequently than Malay Language .It is probably the disastrous aftermath of British colonisation I reckoned .As a result ,Malaysians are gradually becoming westernised .Looking East Policy introduced by Tun Mahathir on the other hand commenced and stopped at his time of regiment only .Now it has turned to Looking West Policy .kuang kuang .I agreed in meritocracy system as we Malays are slowly becoming less-competent to other races .We must be polished to compete and able to spread wings by ourselves out of any assistance anymore .So why don’t we keep word to ourselves to be a competitive and wiseful Malay yet preserving our respects to other races too ! haha – we Malays are known for our politeness lah .We should have realised it into action guys .

say ; romantic lighting brought by the committee .haha !
I also got great teachers and friends from tuitions who are Chinese and Indian but I find that they are respecting our presence and the same must have gone to us too .In fact my Indian English teacher that currently in Brunei kept called me for she knows that religious and races gap will never be the wall in joining muhibbah among us .My Chinese Biology teacher also promise to treat us a dinner when we got back Malaysia next year .Believe me ,it’s fun to be all together witout hatring any selves .So ,just respect to be respected guys ! haha
